Today was another beautiful hot day in London and despite a lack of sleep and quite a fare amount of weekend clubsurfing core I didnt loose a chance to get my ass to London Fields Fun Fair 😛 (I’m a fairground fan number one!) and immerse myself into fairground joy where I went only with my headphones, solitude and MUSIC… To double the pleasure and enjoy flying with the loud favorite tune ^__^

It’s a very beautiful feeling (really orgasmic actually :)), like when you go on the boat sea-ride, float in the sky, feeling euphoria…drifting in dreams. That’s how I felt…again. And why not to make a FAIRGROUND MUSIC CHART out of what I have been listening, to share some kind of “feelgood” wave.

Recommended to listen to especially on “Tornado” funfair ride!  😛 It is a BLISS!!!

Soft funfair tunes:

  1. SebastiAn – Water Games (Interlude)
  2. MGMT – The Youth (MMMatthias Remix)
  3. Gold Panda – You
  4. Flume – Paper Thin
  5. Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind? (Erol Alkan Rework Edit)
  6. Neon Indian – Polish Girl
  7. Midnight Juggernauts – Raised By Wolves
  8. Ratatat – Wildcat (E*Vax Remix)

Gaoler’s Daughter (live @ 11.15)
– from a melting pot of influences, Gaoler’s Daughter have created a genre-bending sound, free from boundaries, unlike anything you’ll have heard before but firmly rooted in London. John Sterry’s melodic vocals and surreal, biting lyrics, contrast with Mahoody’s reverb-washed guitar jangle. Ben’s dance-tinged grooves mix with Alfie’s cutting bass, weaving solid, hypnotising counter melodies. Their track ‘Angry Eyes’ was championed by Radio 1′s Zane Lowe after reaching number 1 in the Hype Machine chart.
Jeff Automatic (Transmission)
– Jeff’s been busy playing all over Europe, including many a scorchio-hot festival in Spain – one involving a set in a bull ring! – and club dates with Transmission at Barcelona’s Razzmatazz, Benicassim and London’s Egg.
Stefan (Last FM)
– Back for another session at OPS, Stefan works at the heart of music site Last.fm and has an impeccable taste in electronic music!
Candygaze (Shoreditch Radio)
– This arty party monster comes from Estonian capital Tallinn, where she co-promoted the ArtKitchen club/music/art nights. She fell in love with the London scene and stayed; When she’s not DJing around East London’s hotspots or riding funfairs, she’s got her own show on Shoreditch Radio, mixing shoegaze with candy floss. “This lady is beyond any comments. You will be chopped to pieces with her set” say her ArtKitchen collaborators!Downstairs: revolutionary, modern guitar music for a utopian future
Ed Wilder (Club NME)
– a man with a vision, Ed has played at the top of the BT Tower and to massive crowds at V2008. He’s also a resident at Koko’s Club NME and the regular DJ at Corrupt’s cutting-edge live nights at Barfly. Ed’s also just started remixing and it’s sounding really good – especially his Mumford & Sons rework.
Murray DJ (Murrayclub, Valencia)
– This Valencian mover and shaker can be found at his own nights at Murrayclub and Deejing Club, where he’s shared CDs with some of the best indie djs in Spain (like Amable, Luis Le Nuit, Homeboy, Galán..). As a DJ he loves guitars and enjoys mixing rock, pop, remixes, and electronic indie music.

It was unexpected, funky and enyoable …Wednesday… Came out the house without any plan, had a nice bike ride listening to fresh music…then was lucky to lose my keys and kinda was homeless for a day (which I am now literally in London but it’s ok ;))… that turned to be a day of cool meetings and nice free meals around the Old Town 😛 and it was not the end..everything ended in the most crazy underground of the Universe – Levist Valjas disco pub – where I met loads of friends and “fell out of the window” (my new meaning of “moshpit”) thanks to lovely Tambet Zahir DJ…walking from the center by foot was “inspiring” too…feet were literally destroyed. So that was one of the exciting days while in Tallinn.

Another one was last Friday at Error Music Festival – the project of Tallinn Culture Capital 2011- on the sea beach near Patarei Prison. There we really enjoyed error music which has to be seen and heard!!! Also was happy to meet cool guy Eboman who performed mash of weird video and music..which made everyone dance in a weird way watching wicked live video sample madness. Exciting stuff! Thanks Eboman! ErrorFest 4eva! 😉

Few more intresting projects happened on error stage:

The Shifts

Jaakko-Eino Kalevi

Then I was enyojing my DJ set at 4am in the cute yurt tent and dancing on the sand…was pretty cold but really cool. also watching the sunrise through barbed wire. Here you can get the sound of it:

Today- Friday – I’m playing my acoustic guitar at home, riding bike and going to visit Kumu ÖÖ – The Kumu Night – which is another fasciating Estonian Cultural project. I am lucky enough to get inside this madness tonight and fly to Mars! Mouse on Mars has been one of my favorite bands, can’t wait to see them couse it feels like it will be as exciting as when I saw Black Dice at Von Krahl a couple of years ago (plus that night was the night of my first official DJ set in Tallinn at DeathByPOp;))

Well to complete my avant-garde report I’ll post an explotion of music I recently discovered (observed/favorited/downloaded) hanging on the bridge between London and Tallinn (will try in chronology).

[listening now Sebastian’s new album ;)]

[which i discovered on amazing Erol Alkan’s dj gig at Fabrique Kill Em All party]

 [their live gigs are wicked!]

[i was there couple of weeks ago:)]

 [discovered through Burberry ads :P]

[saw them live and saw Tommy Anarchic crowdsurfing,  falling on the drumkit and smashing his face…]

 [just lovely]

 [I think it’s a Playground‘s anthem, just feeling the WAVE ]

[SEXY SUSHI MADNESS at Playground in Koko]

[the stylish essence of things -video, music blablabla]

Yeah! It happened last Monday where I had very fun time with Iameverything crew and the guy from LAte Of The Pier, Sam Potter who told me about some of their side projects. Omg, they have been known each other since they were 4 years old. That’s why a break for gigs…I was too shy and forgot asking the name of projects. So far I found this one: La Priest with their popular club hit “Engine”. Now adoring tracks like Dandi Wind and 200 Meows.

In general, their attitude and music concepts are so appealing..Remind of some old beautiful phantasy films and books I was reading in childhood…And shiny sunny spacetravel and warm green grass and some silver dreams…:)

Shame their album I bought has dissapered in Levist Valjas 😀
